VIOLENCE

In every person, there is a part of him/her that is violent. Only that they are of different levels and expressed in different forms or actions. Like aggression, in is also triggered by a stimulus.

Violence is also used as a defense to prevent oneself from harm. Some are using it for power and get the thing/s he/she wanted.

Hurting others is the primary motive of a violent person so that it will bring him/her (somehow) pleasure. Let's take the August 23, 2010 Quirino Grandstand Hostage Taking as an example. The violence of the hostage taker, Rolando Mendoza, brought many lives into their ends in a just. If he just talked to his head officer or to someone, it could have been prevented.

Violence can be prevented with proper handling of a certain problem.

BALATO

Balato: sharing one's fortune.

There is nothing wrong in imparting your blessings, but it's like it has been automatic when you have something that brings too much in you and you need to give also a part of it to the people around you.

Balato has been a traditon to the Filipinos and it comes in many forms. The most famous is money. In any amount given is considered as balato and people having this, they consider themselves affected by the person who gave them such thing his/her fortune

MALAS AND SWERTE

FORTUNE: (noun) things that happen or are to happen to a person in his or her life.

Do you believe in fortune telling?

Malas (misfortune) and swerte (fortunate) are just some of the Filipino beliefs where they depend their life of. They also believe in tadhana (destiny) and even to hula (). If something good happens to them, they will feel so "swerte", then "malas" if it's the other way around.

People's perspective to swerte is that whenever all the things are in favor of them, that they are not encountering any problems, when they are happy and contented. But when things or events are against them, they will look at them as malas. All the misfortunes are on them, that even their self-esteem and goals in life are affected.

These two things are also fixated to stuffs, such as lucky charms, fung shui experts' advices and more, where people rely on them, thinking that those things will guide their lives.

PNoy Administration

Since he have won the race in the 2010 Presidential Elections, all eyes are on him. His political life, social life, to his family, and even his love life were put into scene. But talking about his administration, it's too early to judge.

He started as a senator, where in he served for a long time, them had the courage to run for the Presidential Elections after Former President Cory Aquino passed away. As he step to the next level, there are already expectations set. It's like "good-bye Arroyo Administration and hello Aquino". People tend to think and even to expect that he can turn everything upside down, follow and do his platform last elections in just a snap. That's the reason why they are disappointed when the things they wanted to be changed is not yet given and some of them want it NOW.

It's on the nature of every people, also in Filipinos, to compare. The main reason why we can't move on to certain situations pertaining to our government and people, the minority, are looking up to someone in authority to guide and provide everything our county needs. Openness to change must be learned.

As for PNoy, he must study and look deeply into some situations our country is facing and is about to change. He must learn how to handle the whole nation for all the trust of the Filipino people are on him.
